Gabriel’s Trumpet has a very original and interesting plot. It’s that kind of book you can’t stop reading.
Mr. Black has quickly become one my my favorites. I love the way he leverages his knowledge of music history to develop a compelling narrative.
Fantastic writter, love his style.
Demonstrates a skillful blend of research and imagination, draws you into the period and has a keen sense of place... Horror as it was then, not just modern fears put up in a costume.
Easily touches something inside me from his way that he describes things his detail and his characters are brought to life on the paper and in my mind
So good I couldn't stop reading it. Jon Black is amazing.
