I'm the lead editor of Speculative North! This is why I like the magazine: Speculative North is dedicated to the celebration, promotion, and enjoyment of speculative literature in its various forms. Our mission is to foster a community of diverse voices in speculative literature, to create an enduring virtual space for readers and writers, and to promote the growth and flourishing of the speculative literature community. Every issue contains 30,000+ words of fiction, including at least one in each of the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror; at least one first-time published author; and at least three stories by authors who self-identify as writing from a marginalized perspective or identity. All three of our issues have been Amazon #1 Bestsellers in multiple categories and countries. And all of our back issues are free for download from www.tdotspec.com!
Great collection of fun and super Sci/Fi - Fantasy stories.
The magazine features a wide-ranging collection of original and imaginative stories. Very entertaining.
It was nice to read a magazine that showcased new Canadian sci-fi and fantasy talent.
Best rejection letter I've ever received! And when I read the final content, I understood why.
style content and vibe
Chewy concepts, hints of what could be, with a clean finish and no aftertaste... until you are almost asleep.
Fresh and diverse fiction unburdened by convention and with a real energy.
This is a new magazine, but it has already established itself as a favorite for fans of speculative fiction, so I feel it deserves recognition. The stories are varied, but of consistently high quality, and so far, I haven't read one which I didn't enjoy.
I like the variety.
I love the fact that it is a space given to diverse writers that they may not have otherwise. Some great original writing!
Every one of those are worthy, thanks!! From Michèle
