Critter Notices
Critters is 30!
Last November, Critters turned 30 years old! Wow! Thanks so much to all of you, who've made it such a resounding success!
FEATURED BOOK
New Page Names
If you have a bookmark or link directly to any internal Critters pages, you should replace them with new ones. The old ones will stay around a short while then vanish...
What's a .ht file? It's a file type I created to separate content from layout. The .ht file has just the content unique to that page, and the server merges it with the layout when you view a page. Makes it incredibly easy to add new content and just as easy to change the layout. |
Most pages ending in .html now end in .ht instead. But not all; some may end in .php or .cgi, so you have to check. However, I can pretty much guarantee that none end in .html anymore! (The .html files are still there, but will go away soon.)
Pages ending in .txt have all changed too.
Actually, just about all pages have changed locations -- so you want to navigate the new site to find them and re-bookmark / link them.
