This unforgetable book has the humor of 'Cheaper by the Dozen' with the heart of 'To Kill a Mockingbird.'
As poignant and heartrending as this book is, it also had numerous laugh-out-loud moments to balance the tears. No mother ever wrote a more beautiful tribute to a child lost to tragedy.
I admired Micki Peluso from the moment I met her. I got to meet some of her family as well. After reading And the Whippoorwill Sang, I saw where her family got their strength. Micki is a loving mother and woman.
A match for Isabel Allende's Paula.
A great book with a sense of humor and also very emotional. Micki is a great author. I really enjoyed this book.
And The Whippoorwill Sang is a book about life in all of it facets. You will laugh and cry at what happens between the pages, and you'll want to read it again and again. It is a delightful book about family, love, and lost. Shalom, Pat Garcia
I have known Micki for a very long time. She has put all her heart, mind and soul into anything she writes. She is very deserving of htis award.
