31 chilling tales of terror from some of the best authors in horror! Killing It Softly includes stories from New York Times best selling authors Nancy Holder and Elaine Cunningham, together with more shocking short nightmares from the finest award winning female writers in the genre.
This anthology is an amazing collaboration from some definite 'Power House' female authors, they all had awesome works, some that got under the skin and some that chilled right down to the bone, not to mention a few mind-f***s scattered throughout. If you're looking for some scary stories look no further, thought you were numb to Horror, desensitized perhaps, then I challenge you to get through all 32 without closing the book on a few. A+++!!1
An impressive variety of themes in one volume.
Killing it Softly was a great read. I am a member of the Horror Writers Association and have met some fantastic female writers (Sephera Giron and Lisa Morton etc). The women who have contributed their work to Killing it Softly have written close to my heart--dark subjects that beget darker thoughts that claw at your psyche. Reading should instill something inside you--take you places that come to life (and death) through the imagination of the writer as they knock the wind out of your imagination. This anthology is one of the best in the genre I've read. Check it out! Lou Rera
One of the scariest anthologies I read all year. All different stories, some were sad, and some scared me so bad-I couldn't stop reading.
two words??where?
These women can WRITE! 'Millie's Hammock' was my fave, but there were SO many great stories in this book
